Introducing Freddie

Hi, I’m Freddie, and I’ve spent over three years working in the private lifestyle and property sectors. Recently, I’ve taken on a new challenge by joining the SHY Aviation team as a Commercial Executive. My role here involves building relationships with suppliers and sourcing aircraft on a global scale for our brokers' clients. I also coordinate the sales process from start to finish, ensuring that every detail is managed seamlessly, whether it’s for booking a private jet or a helicopter. Additionally, I focus on establishing new relationships within the aviation industry, helping SHY expand its reach and maintain its reputation for excellence.

I was inspired to join SHY after originally partnering with Freddie Maidens, who is a sales director here, in my previous endeavours, I quickly realised the potential to leverage my existing network when the time is right, bringing them into SHY, which offers a brilliant foundation and security for managing UHNW (Ultra High Net Worth) clients. The combination of SHY’s reputation and the dynamic nature of the aviation industry made it an opportunity I couldn't pass up.

Introducing Toni

Hello, I'm Toni, I am currently completing my placement year as Marketing Executive at SHY Aviation as part of my university studies. In my role, I am responsible for managing social media across all our channels, a responsibility that sits at the heart of our digital presence. Collaborating closely with my talented team, we strategise and devise comprehensive content plans. Additionally rafting engaging content is a significant part of my daily work, bringing our brand's stories to life and connecting with our community on a deeper level. Analysing insights monthly and quarterly is crucial, as it guides our strategy adjustments and helps us understand our audience's evolving preferences. Beyond social media, I supporting the wider marketing team with digital marketing initiatives and website development, ensuring a cohesive and impactful online presence. With a main objective to build our SEO.


I was inspired to join SHY because of their ultra luxury reputation and the genuine passion the team has for the brand. During the hiring process, I was captivated by their enthusiasm and commitment, which truly resonated with me and made me eager to contribute to such a dynamic and prestigious company..

Can you describe a mentorship or trianing experience you've had at SHY?

From the start, the SHY team warmly welcomed me and provided exceptional support as I developed new skills and industry knowledge. My marketing colleagues have been incredibly inclusive, involving me in diverse strategies and projects. Working closely with our Creative Marketing Lead has been particularly impactful; she took me under expert with and her mentorship has significantly expanded my understanding of marketing. Her guidance and encouragement have been instrumental in my growth and success here

How Do You See Your Role Evolving in the Future at SHY Aviation?

In the future, I see myself progressing into a brokering role. As I continue to deepen my knowledge of the industry and familiarise myself with various aircraft, I aim to provide my clients with the best possible service. Transitioning into brokering will allow me to directly utilise my expertise to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients, ensuring their needs are met with the highest standards.

How Has SHY Helped You Get to Know the Industry?

SHY has been instrumental in my introduction to the aviation industry. Through hands-on experience, guidance from seasoned professionals, and exposure to the intricate details of aircraft sourcing and client management, I've gained a solid foundation in the field. SHY also emphasises the importance of continuous learning, which has helped me stay current with industry trends and best practices, further enhancing my ability to succeed in this role

What achievement are you most proud of whilst working for SHY?

The achievement I’m most proud of during my time at SHY Aviation is being a key part of bringing a modern, more digitalised approach to the company's marketing strategy. I’ve had the opportunity to leverage social media and create impactful content that has significantly improved our web traffic through organic SEO.

But beyond these accomplishments, what truly stands out for me is the invaluable experience I’ve gained from working with such a talented team. I’ve learned so much, not just about the industry, but also about myself and my capabilities. I’m excited to continue bringing fresh ideas to the table and to keep building and expanding SHY Aviation’s digital presence in the future.
